About the Event
Learn about how and why what you do in those critical minutes after a sudden cardiac event can make a huge difference.   Ashley Dwight from 13 Beats will join us online to share the story of her family's first hand experience with cardiac arrest with their teenage son and what you can do to be ready to assist.  Did you know that more than 350,000 people will experience sudden cardiac arrest every year and only 10% of victims will survive.  13 beats is a Kansas City organization spreading awareness about the importance of being CPR trained.  According to the American Heart Association, if performed immediately, bystander CPR can double or triple the chance of survival for someone experiencing cardiac arrest.
