The Hive Terms & Conditions

1. Event Cancellation: 

By paying for an event, you are holding a spot. All reservations for Hive events are nonrefundable unless otherwise noted. If you are unable to attend, you can transfer your reservation to another person, but will not receive any refund payment from The Hive.

 

2. Membership: 

You hereby acknowledge and agree that your “membership” in The Hive LLC or being a “Hive Member” does not include any ownership, partnership or other interest in The Hive LLC, whole or in part. You further hereby acknowledge and agree that “membership” does not entitle you to any rights or interests granted to owners of The Hive LLC as set forth in The Hive LLC’s operating agreement, including, but not limited to, sharing in any profits or losses, participation in management thereof, and/or voting and decision making. 

 

3. Terms of Use:  

By accessing or using this web site, whether as a volunteer, member, participant, organization or otherwise, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions described herein and all terms incorporated by reference.

 The Hive Women LLC reserves the right to change or modify any of the terms and/or conditions contained in the Terms or any policy or guideline, at any time and in our sole discretion. The Hive Women LLC reserves the right to cancel or change any trip, event, meeting, or activity of any nature without notice.

The Hive Women LLC assumes no liability or responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, inconvenience, delay, or expense arising from or caused by weather conditions, acts of God, war, accident, government restrictions or regulations, illness or medical condition, venue cancellation, or from an act or omission of any individual, traffic or road conditions, third party cancellations, or any other cause or condition beyond The Hive Women LLC’s control.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Hive Women LLC and all respective suppliers and any officers, participants, members, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature.

 The Hive Women LLC enters into contracts with hotels, restaurants, social venues, and other businesses and entities which are owned and operated by independent contractors. The Hive Women LLC is not responsible for any negligent or willful act, omission or failure to act on the part of any such entity or its employees, or of any other third party beyond its direct control.

 The Hive Women LLC’s name and logo may appear on print, posted or hand-held materials at various locations and forms, and is solely intended to help participants identify persons or locations and does not indicate that The Hive Women LLC owns, controls or operates any entity displaying The Hive Women LLC name or logo or employs or controls any person wearing, holding or displaying such name or logo.

As we continue to live and work through a global pandemic, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. The Hive will follow all Johnson County mandates. The Hive encourages all participants to act in a manner best suited to your own personal situation and comfort level, and recommends all participants refer to the CDC and Johnson County guidelines regarding Covid 19 and all other communicable diseases for further information.

4. Media Consent:

I authorize The Hive LLC to take and use my image (photographs and any other forms of media material) for educational, informational, and promotional purposes. Images may be used for, but not limited to, social media, websites, publications, newsletters, advertising materials, and other media types not specifically listed. I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve printed or electronic matter that may be used now or in the future, whether that use is known or unknown to me, and I waive any right to royalties or other compensation related to the use of my image.
