Hive Service: Flourish Furnishings

Flourish is the only not-for-profit furniture bank in the Kansas City area. Through its community-driven model, they collect and refurbish donations to provide entire-home furnishings free to families experiencing housing insecurity. 

• We will arive at the facility by 8:30am and depart at 12:00pm. 
• Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes that can get a little dirty. 
• The warehouse is not climate controlled so bring a jacket if its cold out. 
• Bring a water bottle if you would like. 
• Wear your Hive apparel if possible.  

Jobs may include sorting donated goods, cleaning furniture, packing boxes, sewing and matching linens, woodworking, shopping with clients, and more! Volunteering at Flourish will include a tour, information about their facility and an overview about how they operate/who they serve.

This event is opened to those who have joined The Hive and limited to 20 people.
