About the Event
Broadmoor Bistro is a student-run restaurant in the Shawnee Mission School District. The food is anything but elementary -- sit down and take your pick from a three-course meal prepared by high school students. Opened in the fall of 2017, it’s the only high school to partner with the James Beard Foundation, and students learn various skills in the culinary arts industry. Students create recipes, get over 1,000 hour of real-world culinary experience, and learn from Award-winning chefs. Broadmoor Bistro is only open during the academic year on Wednesday evenings and regular sells out.
